1. General

1.1) Lara-May Furniture reserves the right to change and amend these terms and conditions. Any changes made will be deemed effective from the date they are posted on this website. You (the customer) are fully responsible for reading and understanding the terms and conditions set out by Lara-May Furniture and accept these terms and conditions as outlined below.

 

2 The Order Process and Your Contract with Lara-May Furniture Ltd

Price & Payment of Goods
 

3.1) The price you will pay for your goods is the price quoted at the point of sale, either on our website or in person, plus any additional charges for carriage and insurance as set out in our order form.

3.2) The prices displayed on our website are subject to change without notice.

3.3) If there has been a mistake in the price quoted to you, or if we have under-priced any item(s), we will not be liable to supply those item(s) to you at that incorrect price. In such circumstances, we will notify you of the correct price so you can decide whether or not you wish to proceed with the purchase at the correct price.

4. Cancellation and Returns Policy

4.1) All bespoke orders can not be cancelled and must be paid in full

4.2 No Cancellation Policy Once an order for furniture is placed in-store, it cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. All orders are final and must be paid for in full. If a customer fails to pay the outstanding balance on the order, any deposits made will be forfeited. No refunds or exchanges will be provided, and the order will remain due until full payment is received.

4.3 Zero Tolerance Policy We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward rude, abusive, or aggressive behaviour from customers. Any display of disrespect, aggression, or inappropriate conduct toward our staff will result in the immediate cancellation of the order. In such cases, we reserve the right to withhold any furniture, and no refunds will be issued. Our team deserves to be treated with respect at all times.

4.4 Customer Responsibility for Furniture Fit. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all furniture ordered fits within their home or desired location. While we offer assistance, such as removing doors or other minor adjustments to facilitate delivery, if an item does not fit, the customer is still required to pay in full for the order. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or provide refunds for furniture that cannot be delivered due to size or access issues. Furthermore, we are not joiners and do not provide modifications to homes or furniture. If the delivery requires manoeuvring through tight spaces or difficult conditions, we take no responsibility for any damage caused to the furniture or the customer's property during delivery.

4.3) If you have requested, and we (Lara-May Furniture Ltd) have manufactured parts, extra covers, or changed/altered the standard design of any suite to create a personalised suite, this is deemed as a "Custom Made" and a "Bespoke Order." As such, it will be governed by Clause 4.2 above. If a decision is made to accept a return under this clause, it will be subject to a fee to cover the return of the suite and the condition of the suite, and this will be solely at the discretion of the company. Lara-May Furniture Ltd is under no obligation to accept any returns of "Custom Made" sofas or Custom Made parts/fabrics.

5. Faulty Sofa Policy

5.0) If a sofa is found to be faulty within 12 months of the sofa being delivered, we will either repair or replace the item at our discretion.

5.0a Repair or Replacement Timeline

 

We will aim to repair or replace the faulty sofa within 3 months of the fault being reported.

In cases where we cannot source the same fabric, a full replacement of the sofa may be necessary, which could extend the timeframe.

5.0b No Refunds Policy

We do not offer refunds for faulty sofas. The remedy will always be a repair or replacement.

5.0c Loan Sofa Availability

While the sofa is being repaired, we may offer a loan sofa, subject to stock availability.

5.1) Upon receipt of delivery, you will have 14 days to report any faults. We will endeavour to rectify any faults. If we are unable to rectify the fault, we may offer you replacement parts. Please note that faults caused by accidents, neglect, or misuse on your part will not be replaced without incurring additional costs, and such faults will be deemed as customer-caused. Please notify Lara-May Furniture Ltd in writing within 14 days of delivery. 5.2) Where required, we (the company) may dispatch an incomplete order to ensure prompt delivery to your address, but only after informing you and obtaining your consent. Once we have agreed to part delivery, it is clearly understood that this does not constitute a fault in your order, and it is accepted as a part delivery with the balance of goods to follow.

6. Delivery & Title of Goods

6.2) All orders arranged for delivery will be subject to the above conditions.
